The Watch app is built for one job: writing a thing down and putting your arm back down.
What it does
Capture, mostly by voice. See talk instead of type.
Today, so you can see and check off what is on your day.
It works offline and syncs when the Watch reconnects, which matters because a Watch is frequently away from its phone.
What it does not do
This is a design decision rather than a gap. A Watch app that tried to be the whole product would be worse at the one thing a Watch is genuinely good at.
Going further
Today is keyed by the day, so what you see is the same day list you would see on the phone, not a separate wrist inbox.
Dictation is the input. Typing on a Watch is technically possible and practically not worth it.
Tips
- Use it for capture only. Reading and organizing are phone jobs.
- One sentence per capture. Anything longer is better dictated to the phone with Ramble.
