Make it yours
Every setting, and where it lives
NewTwos has roughly two hundred settings across ten sections. This is the map.
Why you'd care
Most people never find the setting that would fix their specific annoyance, because they do not know which section it would be in. Search solves that, and almost nobody uses it.
Search settings first
There is a search box at the top of settings. It matches names, descriptions and keywords, so typing "carry" finds carry-over without knowing it lives under Lists and things.
This is faster than browsing in every case. Use it.
The sections
| Section | Holds |
|---|---|
| Account | Profile, password, 2FA, referrals, deleting |
| Appearance | Theme, fonts, layout, navigation, dates, celebrations |
| Calendar and reminders | Detection, alerts, calendar sync |
| Lists and things | Sorting, types, carry-over, tags, completed things |
| Smart features | Everything AI |
| Your features | Plus features, turned on and off individually |
| Advanced | Integrations, world, widgets, shortcuts, resets |
| Notifications | Push and email |
| Data | Export, import, cache, trash |
| Help and about | Docs, FAQ, support, version |
Going further
Your features is worth a look. It lists Plus features individually and lets you turn off ones you do not want, which declutters the app even if you have everything.
Appearance is the biggest. Roughly a third of all settings live there, which is why searching beats browsing.
Everything can be reset. Settings Advanced Reset all settings to default returns settings to defaults without touching a single thing you wrote.
Tips
- If something about the app annoys you, search settings for a word from the annoyance. There is usually a switch.
- Do not change settings in your first week. The defaults are tuned for someone new, and changing them early makes it harder to tell what is normal.
