Language
The app interface is available in 39 languages.
Changing it
Settings Appearance & Accessibility Language switches the interface language. It applies immediately and follows your account across devices.
What is translated
The interface, settings, onboarding, and the FAQ.
What is not
These documentation pages. They are English only, deliberately: they change whenever the product does, and keeping 39 translations of a couple of hundred pages current is not something anyone does well. The FAQ covers the common ground and is translated.
Your own things. Obviously, but worth saying: nothing you wrote is ever translated or altered.
Going further
Language is separate from date format. Reading the app in Spanish while using a US date format is a valid combination, which matters if you have moved country. See dates, times and units.
Search does not care about language. It normalises accents, so "café" finds "cafe" and vice versa regardless of your interface language.
Date detection is language-aware, so writing a date in your own language is understood.
Settings that change this
- Settings Appearance & Accessibility Language sets the interface language.
Tips
- If a string looks wrong or untranslated, it is worth reporting. Translations are maintained rather than generated once.
