Helpful notifications
Notifications NewTwos sends on a schedule rather than in response to something.
Customizing them is part of NewTwos Plus. Plus
What they are
| Nudge | Sends |
|---|---|
| Morning review | What is on today |
| Midday nudge | A check-in partway through |
| Evening wrap | What you did and did not finish |
| Memory of the day | One thing from your past |
| Random star | Something you starred |
| Random to-do | Something outstanding |
| Weekly digest | The week's summary |
Times and days are configurable.
Choosing well
Pick one, not seven.
The point of these is a single prompt that restarts the habit on the days you would otherwise not open the app. Seven prompts is an app that nags, and the reliable response to nagging is turning off notifications entirely.
The two that people keep longest are the evening wrap, which prompts the close-the-day routine, and memory of the day, which is a pleasure rather than a task.
Going further
They are separate from reminders. These are generated. Reminders are things you set. Turning these off does not affect anything you scheduled.
Timing matters more than content. A morning review at 6am when you wake at 8 is noise. Set the time to when you would actually act.
Settings that change this

Tips
- Start with the evening wrap. It is the one that produces a behaviour rather than a glance.
- If you ignore one three times, turn it off. An ignored notification trains you to ignore all of them.
