Why you'd care
The Memories view is a whole day of history, which is more than most people will read. Memory of the Day is one thing, which almost everyone will.
It is the smallest possible dose, and it is the feature people most often say they open the app for.
Where it appears
As a card on Home, and as a once-a-day moment when you open the app.
Going further
One a day, deliberately. Showing five would make it a feed, and a feed gets scrolled past. One gets read.
It draws on everything. Any thing from your history is eligible, not only ones you marked. Marking with memory increases the chance rather than being required.
Hidden material stays hidden. Anything excluded from memories is excluded here too, which matters for difficult content.
Tips
- Put the card on Home if you want it reliably rather than incidentally.
- If what comes back is consistently dull, that is a signal about what you write, not about the feature. Try writing one line a day about the day.
