When something's wrong
NewTwos feels slow
Slowness usually has a specific cause rather than being general.
Cause and fix
One very large list. A list with thousands of things is the most common cause. Split it, archive part of it, or use headings and collapse them. See headings and subheadings.
Photos in a long list. Many full-size photos on one page is heavy. Change the display size to square, or switch the list to Gallery. See photo sizes and the gallery.
A stale cache. Settings Data Clear cache drops the local copy and rebuilds it. Nothing is lost. See storage and cache.
A weak connection, not the app. Writing stays instant offline, but anything asking the server will wait. See writing when you are offline.
Many archived lists is not a cause. Archived material is excluded from ordinary views and search, so archiving genuinely helps rather than merely hiding.
What usually does not help
- Reinstalling, before clearing the cache
- Deleting things, when the real cause is one large list
- Turning off animations
What to send support
Platform, device, app version, whether it is one specific list or everywhere, roughly how many things are in that list, and whether clearing the cache changed anything.
