When something's wrong
A photo will not upload
A stuck photo is nearly always the connection, and the thing itself is already safe.
What is already safe
The thing saves immediately, with its text. Only the image is waiting. So nothing you typed is at risk while an upload is pending.
Cause and fix
Weak or intermittent connection. Uploads retry. Leave the app open on a good connection for a moment.
Very large images. A burst of high-resolution photos takes real time. Add them in smaller batches.
Offline. Nothing uploads until you reconnect, by design. See writing when you are offline.
Local development or an unusual network. Photo upload requires the storage service to be reachable, and some restricted networks block it. A blank row where the photo should be is the symptom.
What not to do
Do not delete the thing and retry. That loses the text as well. Leave it, reconnect, and let it finish.
Do not clear the cache while an upload is pending, since that drops the local copy that is waiting to go up.
What to send support
Platform and version, roughly how large the images are, whether other uploads work, and whether you are on a restricted network.
