Collaborate on a list
A list can be shared with specific people, so you all write to the same list.
Why you'd care
The obvious case is a household: one grocery list both people add to, which stays correct because there is only one of it.
It works the same for a shared trip, a project, or anything two people keep telling each other about.
The 60-second version
Open the list's sharing options, invite someone, and choose what they can do. They get an invitation and the list appears in their account.
Collaboration is not publishing
They are separate and it matters.
Collaboration is specific people, who can write. Publishing is anyone with the link, who can only read. A list can be either, both, or neither. See publish a list or a thing.
Going further
Access can be requested. Someone who lands on a list can ask, and you approve or decline. That is easier than getting their username first.
Changes are visible as they happen. Both sides see edits without refreshing, so two people editing at once is workable rather than a conflict.
Notifications can be silenced per list. A busy shared list should not notify you thirty times a day. See Settings Notifications List activities.

Tips
- Share one list, not your whole account. Sharing is per list on purpose.
- Use mentions to hand a specific item to a specific person rather than messaging them separately.
