Clues and quests

Clues are small challenges that award coins for doing something in the app.

Why you'd care

The coins are the smaller half. The real value is discovery: clues ask you to use features you would otherwise never find, like pulling down to refresh, promoting a sublist, or using a swipe to select.

Most people learn more from the clue list than from any tour.

What they ask

Ordinary things, done once: write a thing, create a list, complete a to-do, use voice, add a photo, set a repeating reminder, star something, bookmark a list, use search, use chat, reorder a thing.

There are around forty.

Going further

Each pays once. Doing something forty times does not pay forty times, so there is nothing to farm.

They are not a checklist you must finish. Ignoring them entirely costs you nothing but coins.

They pair with the Twostorial. The Twostorial teaches the basics in order, clues cover the corners. See the Twostorial.

Tips

  • Read through the clue list once, even if you do not chase them. It is the best feature index in the app.
  • If a clue describes something you did not know existed, that is the point of the feature.
