Lists
Template packs
Template packs are ready-made sets of lists for common situations.
Template packs are part of NewTwos Plus. Plus
Why you'd care
The blank-account problem is real. Knowing that a list is a good idea is different from knowing which lists to make, and a pack answers that with a concrete starting point you can then ignore or edit.
What is in them
Packs exist for getting started, students, work, parents, planning, focus, home and reading. Each installs a small set of lists that go together, with contents rather than empty pages.
Going further
They are a starting point, not a system. Delete two thirds of what a pack installs. The value is in seeing a worked example, not in adopting somebody else's structure wholesale.
Everything is editable immediately. A pack creates ordinary lists. There is nothing special about them afterwards and no link back to the pack.
Install one, not four. Four packs is thirty lists you did not choose, which is exactly the situation packs are meant to avoid.
Tips
- Install a pack, use it for a week, then delete the lists you never opened. What survives is your actual system.
- If you already have a way of working, skip packs entirely and make your own templates instead.
