Why you'd care#

Plain dictation gives you one thing containing everything you said, which then needs splitting up by hand. That cleanup is enough friction that most people stop using voice for anything longer than a sentence.

Ramble does the splitting. You talk the way you would to a person, and you get a list.

The 60-second version#

Start Ramble, talk for as long as you like, and stop. What you said arrives as separate things, with to-dos detected where you clearly stated one.

Going further#

Talk in a list, get a list. It works best when you speak the way you would dictate to someone: "three things for tomorrow, first, call the bank, second, book the car in". Structure in your speech becomes structure in the output.

Review before you move on. It is an interpretation, not a transcript. Skim the result once, because a misheard name is easier to fix now than in six months.

It is not a meeting recorder. Ramble is built for one person thinking out loud, not for capturing a conversation between several people.

Settings that change this#

• Settings → Smart Features → AI features is the master switch. With AI off, Ramble is unavailable.
• Settings → Smart Features → Use your own OpenAI key lets you bring your own key and choose a model. Plus

Tips#

• Use it walking. It is the single best hands-free capture in the product.
• Say "new thing" between items if the splitting is not landing where you want.

If it's not working#

Ramble is not available. It is a Plus feature, and it also requires AI features to be on. Check both.

Everything came out as one thing. You probably spoke in one continuous sentence. Pausing between items gives it something to split on.
