Reminders and your calendar
The Reminders view
Every reminder you have, ordered by time rather than by where it lives.
Why you'd care
Reminders scatter. One on a day, three in a project list, one attached to a note from a month ago. This view is the only place you see the whole schedule.
It is also how you notice that Thursday has four things on it before Thursday arrives.
The 60-second version
Open Reminders from the nav bar or side menu. Everything upcoming is listed by time.
Going further
It is a view, not a container. Reminders shown here still live on their original thing in its original list. Acting on one here acts on the real thing.
Empty is good. An empty Reminders view means nothing is scheduled, not that something is broken. Most things should not have reminders. See set a reminder.
For a time-grid picture, use the Calendar view instead. Reminders is a list. Calendar shows the shape of a day. See the Calendar view.
Colours help here most. A default reminder colour makes this view scannable, set in Settings Calendar & Reminders Default color for reminders.
Tips
- Check it on Sunday. It is the fastest way to see the week coming.
- If this view is long, you have too many reminders. Most of them should be to-dos with no time.
