Get NewTwos on your devices
NewTwos runs on phones, tablets, the web, desktop and Apple Watch, and everything syncs between them.
Why you'd care
The habit only sticks when capture is available wherever the thought happens. One device is a notes app. Three devices is somewhere you actually put things, because you are never more than a few seconds from writing something down.
Where to get it
Everything is linked from the download page.
| Platform | How |
|---|---|
| iPhone and iPad | App Store |
| Android | Google Play |
| Web | Nothing to install. It works in any modern browser. |
| Mac, Windows, Linux | Desktop app, downloadable from the download page. Mac is also on the Mac App Store. |
| Apple Watch | Installs alongside the iPhone app |
What you get by adding a second device
- Widgets. On a phone, a home-screen or lock-screen widget removes the app-opening step entirely.
- A global hotkey. The desktop app can open a Quick Capture window from anywhere, over any other app.
- The menu bar. On desktop, NewTwos can sit in the menu bar with quick actions.
- Your wrist. The Watch app is deliberately tiny: write a thing down, put your arm back down.
Signing in
Sign in with the same account on each device and everything appears. There is no per-device setup, and nothing to migrate.
Tips
- Install the phone app first, even if you mostly work on a laptop. Most capture happens away from a desk.
- Put NewTwos in your dock or on your home row. This does more for the habit than any setting in the app.
- On desktop, set the global Quick Capture hotkey early. It is the single highest-value piece of setup in the product.
If it's not working
My things are not on the second device. Check you are signed into the same account. If you started anonymously on one device, that data lives on that device until you create a login for it.
The desktop app opens a blank window. That is usually an offline start. Reconnect and reopen.
